Shortcuts: Portico Quartet, Hyperdub and Fresh Minute Music
The long awaited second album from the Mercury Prize Winner jazz collective, Portico Quartet has arrived. Isla, released by Peter Gabriel‘s impressive label Real World Records, is truly a great follow up to their magical debut back in 2007. Seventy per cent of the album was performed live at the famous Abbey Road studio and the result is nine beautifully arranged and pulsating jazz compositions. You can check all of them here.
